Peering Policy

• We do not let political issues get in the way of what is good for the Internet as a network. Therefore we will peer with anyone who wants us to at the NL-IX.
• Korton does not require MNDA’s or written peering agreements, but if your company does, we will be happy to sign them (if we agree with the content).
• We will not buy transit traffic from companies who denied peering requests from us.
• The peering is based on good will and effort. Neither party is liable to the other party for losses or damage from interruption of peering for any period of time.
• The peering relation is unlimited in time, however Korton reserves the right to terminate the peering at any moment without any prior notice.
• There will be no charges for the traffic.
• Korton will announce the routes that are registered with the AS58138 in the Ripe-NCC database.
• Korton filters routes and traffic to illegal destinations such as networks mentioned in RFC1918.
• Korton will not provide transit traffic.
• The exchange of routes will be over BGP4.
• We use BGP dampening.
• We filter bogon prefixes (such as IANA reserved networks).
• We filter incoming traffic that should originate from within AS58138.
• We don’t accept prefixes longer than 24 bits
• The peer must present the same route announcement on all sessions.
